Best Cyber Week PC gaming UK deals 2023: the yearly tech discounts are here

Cyber Monday deals
The best Cyber Week deals

Cyber Week is now upon us. It began pretty much from the moment the curtain closed on Black Friday. Now we've laid our UK Black Friday deals page to rest, we'll be concentrating on this one into Cyber Week.

Probably the most important piece advice we can offer is that you don't have to buy anything at all in any of this year's sales. You might see a tasty looking piece of hardware with a big discount but that doesn't mean it won't be on sale again at some in the near future, or that something better is just around the corner.

This is especially true for UK shoppers, as the best deals don't always immediately make their way across the pond. Some never do, of course, but the biggest brands never ignore Blighty.

If you haven't already, you might want to take the opportunity to sign up for a free 30-day trial of Amazon Prime. That will get you early access to the Lightning Deals and help you grab some of the best Bezos bargains of the day. It will also net you free shipping and fast delivery on a host of products, and at the very least, the trial will come in handy for a spot of last-minute Christmas shopping, before the free period is over.

Another other nifty trick is to use CamelCamelCamel to find out the general pricing trend of the product you're after. Sometimes sellers can try and trick you into thinking a deal is better than it really is, by increasing the price beforehand for a 'bigger' discount on the day.

In this year's Cyber Week sales, you can expect to see lots of deals on gaming laptops and gaming PCs, as well as key components such as SSDs, graphics cards, CPUs, and monitors. Apart from storage and displays, sales of the others in 2023 haven't been great so retailers will be wanting to clear stocks before the next round of models appear in 2024.

Of course, that means there will be a fair amount of trash being sold with a huge discount but you don't need to worry about them, as we'll do all of the sifting and deal appraisals for you. We test and routinely use a lot of the latest hardware and accessories at PC Gamer, so we know what's hot and what's absolutely not.

1. ADMI Gaming PC| Core i5 12400F | RTX 4060 | 16GB DDR4-3200 | 1TB SSD | £829.99 at Amazon
Yes, this six-core, 12-thread CPU is now two generations old but for the money, you really can't complain. Well, a bit more RAM would have been nice, but you're not going to get many gaming PCs with a RTX 4060 graphics card for just over £800. The PSU is only rated to 500W so if you're planning on using this as a base to upgrade in the future, you might need a better supply unit for a top-end GPU.

2. Gigabyte G5 | Intel Core i5 12500H | Nvidia RTX 4060 | 15.6-inch | 1080p | 144Hz | 16GB DDR4-3200 | 512GB SSD | £1,199.00 £847.97 at Amazon (save £351.03)

We're big fans of this little budget gaming laptop, and our Jacob loved its "great gaming performance" (check out our review). With over £300 off the original price, this powerful notebook is a great deal today.

3. XFX RX 6700 XT SWFT | 12GB | 2,560 shaders | 2,581MHz | £399.99 £329.99 at Ebuyer (save £70)
AMD rules the graphics card market's mainstream and budget ends, and the RX 6700 XT is the best GPU at this price point. The RTX 3060 Ti is still nearly £50 more expensive than the RX 6700 XT and is a little bit slower in many games. Its popularity means supply is somewhat limited so you might need to wait a bit until its back in stock.

4. Samsung Odyssey G7 | 28-inch | 4K | 144Hz | IPS | £649.99 £479 at Amazon (save £170.99)
Samsung rarely makes a duff monitor and this one ticks all of the right boxes for a high resolution, high refresh rate model. It uses an IPS panel so the contrast ratio isn't great; in HDR mode, pure black regions will look somewhat grey at times. It does sport two HDMI 2.1 ports for a spot of console goodness, though.

5. Cyberpower PC Infinity x127 | Intel Core i7 12700KF | Nvidia RTX 4080 | 32GB DDR5-5200 | 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD | £2,539.20 at Cyberpower PC

High-end gaming PCs sporting RTX 4080 graphics cards are normally very expensive, but this is by far the cheapest one I've seen in the UK. Sure, the CPU is now two generations old but it's more than good enough for any game. There's lots of RAM and storage, plus they're both packing speedy specifications. This is a lot of money to spend on a PC but you're getting a seriously powerful gaming system.

6. Asus TUF A17 | AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS | AMD RTX 4070 | 17.3-inch | 1080p | 144Hz| 16GB DDR5 | 512GB SSD | £1,499.99 £1,349.99 at Amazon (save £150)

This laptop has a great CPU and GPU combination, and is more than good enough to run the latest games at 1080p high settings. The amount of storage is disappointing though and you'd probably want to upgrade that sooner rather than later. It's not the biggest of savings but there aren't any RTX 4070 laptops at this price right now.

7. Gainward RTX 4070 | 12GB | 5,888 shaders | 2,475MHz | £559.99 £539.99 at Overclockers (save £20)
The fact that this is an RTX 4070 retailing for below the standard Nvidia MSRP for the card is the thing to really pay attention too. This is an RTX 3080 with benefits. It's mostly quicker than the previous-gen card, and comes with the excellent DLSS 3 Frame Generation tech, too.

8. AOC Q27G2E/BK | 27-inch | 1440p | VA | 155Hz | £178.18 £149.99 at Overclockers (save £28.19)
Besides this monitor's significant bezels, there's a lot to like here. It's a bit old fashioned looking, but all the important specs are here: 1440p, 155Hz, FreeSync compatible. It's in a sweet spot for gaming and it's made by a manufacturer we trust with budget screens.

9. Lexar NM790 | 2TB | PCIe 4.0 | 7,400MB/s read | 6,500MB/s write |£123.99 £109.99 at Amazon (save £14)

Lexar has put together a superb SSD in the NM790, and the best bit is it's surprisingly cheap. Thanks to high layer NAND and a low-power controller, you can get tons of storage here on an energy-efficient and great performing drive for not much cash. Often much less cash than the competition, even. Read our Lexar NM790 (4TB) review for more.

CyberpowerPC Ultra 45 | Ryzen 5 4500 | RX 6700 XT | 16GB DDR4 (2x8GB) | 1TB SSD | £769 at CyberpowerPC
This PC comes with a surprisingly decent GPU for this little cash. AMD's RX 6700 XT is one of the few previous generation GPUs we'd still be happy to recommend, and when it's less than the price of an RTX 4060 we're definitely onboard. The CPU in this machine is a bit lacking, but shouldn't be too slow for 1080p gaming, and at least there's plenty of RAM and a decent sized SSD for game installs, too.

It can be a little tougher to recommend a last-gen gaming laptop at this level, because the RTX 4060 machines are pretty good value right now. But if you really can't stretch to that, this affordable RTX 3060 machine will deliver a decent level of 1080p gaming performance with a pretty healthy back up specs list to boot.

This big-screen machine packs the RTX 4070 into a compelling studio package that's also a great option for gamers, too. The 17-inch display rocks a 2560 x 1440 resolution and a 240Hz refresh, making it a good-looking panel for both creators and Alan Wake 2. The back up spec of 16GB DDR5 and a 1TB SSD are the expected pairing for the 14-core, 20-thread CPU at its heart, but is still welcome at this price.

The G16 is a more value-focused gaming laptop from the ROG stable, and as such doesn't have the sparkly Nebula display of something like the Zephyrus M16. But the Strix G16 still has an impressively punchy 1920 x 1200 panel, and the RTX 4080 at its heart will power any game at peak settings on that display beautifully.

Asus Radeon RX 6600 | 8GB  | 1,792 shaders | 2,491MHz | £209.99 £179.99 at Ebuyer (save £20)
The RX 6600 is a quality 1080p GPU and great value for money at the sub-£200 point. You're getting a budget graphics card that delivers high frame rates in the latest games at top 1080p graphics presets. At least AMD and Intel are bringing GPU pricing down.

RX 6600 price check: Amazon £215.07

Palit RTX 3060 | 12GB | 3,584 shaders | 1,777MHz | £300.99 £258.99 at Ebuyer (save £51.00)
This is the cheapest real RTX 3060 we've found today, and although it doesn't have the highest clock speed around, it won't make a difference in games. There are cheaper 8GB versions, so make sure to keep your eyes out for that. They have the same core spec, memory aside, but that means far lower memory bandwidth.

RTX 3060 price check: Amazon £259.99 | Overclockers £289.99

Sapphire RX 7600 Pulse | 8GB | 2,048 shaders | 2,655MHz | £259.99 £248.99 at Overclockers (save £11)
As the budget baby of the RDNA 3 family, the RX 7600 faces a lot of competition. Not just from Intel and Nvidia, but from AMD's previous generation of cards too. At this price, though, its almost £60 cheaper than the RX 6700 XT and in some games, it performs nearly as well. Dare I say that it's a little bit dull?

RX 7600 price check: Scan £259.99

Nvidia's cheapest Ada Lovelace model rarely gets much of a discount but this one is the best offer I've seen so far. It performs around the same as the Radeon RX 7600, so what are you getting for the extra £30? The answer is DLSS 3.5 upscaling and frame generation. In some games, it's worth the additional money, especially if you're a fan of ray tracing effects.

RTX 4060 price check: Scan £314.99

XFX Radeon RX 7800 XT | 16GB GDDR6 | 3,840 shaders | 2,430MHz boost | £539.99 £489.96 at Ebuyer (save £50.03)
At this price point, the best card to get used to be the 6800 XT but now we're starting to see deals like this one, where the newer 7800 XT has the same price tag. It's only a little bit faster than the card it's replaced but you're still getting a lotta GPU for not lotta money.

RX 7800 XT price check: Amazon £493.45

At launch the RX 7900 XT was far too close to the RX 7900 XTX in price, and not close enough in terms of performance. Thankfully, the pricing has dropped dramatically for this second-tier RDNA 3 card, making it a far more tantalising prospect than before.

Zotac RTX 4070 Ti | 12GB GDDR6X | 7,680 shaders | 2,610MHz boost | £799.98 £774.96 at Ebuyer (save £25.02)
This is a neat looking, but otherwise very standard, RTX 4070 Ti card from Zotac. It's only a small saving over the base £799 reference price, but is still a great alternative if you couldn't pick up a Founders Edition card. Worth it for the ray tracing performance and DLSS 3.5 features, though an RX 7900 XT is faster in normal rendering.

Just like with the RTX 4080, it's hard to find AMD's RX 7900 XTX discounted down below its MSRP price. But  good deals can be found and we'll happy take any money knocked off the price of a high-end GPU. The Radeon RX 7900 XTX is stupidly fast and this MSI card is solidly built, if a little unexciting to look at.

Look at that! A discounted RTX 4080, albeit by a tiny amount. Honestly, we'll take whatever wins we can get when it comes to high-end GPUs, even if that does still make it far more than the card should be sold at. The RTX 4080 is a serious gaming card for ray tracing, though, especially with the full DLSS 3.5 package.

It's not big, and it certainly isn't from a name we normally associate with gaming monitors, but if space is at a premium and you just want a good, little 1080p display for your desk, this 24-incher has a lot going for it. For a start it's a fast IPS panel, so you get the good colours and a 0.5ms response time, and it will deliver a 144Hz refresh rate, too.

ASRock Phantom Gaming | 27-inch | 1080p | IPS | 165Hz | £178.99 £159.98 at Scan (save £19.01)

ASRock Phantom Gaming | 27-inch | 1080p | IPS | 165Hz | £178.99 £159.98 at Scan (save £19.01)
It's pretty wild what you can get these days for a relatively small sum of money. This is a 27-inch monitor for roughly the same price as some of the smaller 24-inch panels below, and it still rocks an IPS display, 1ms response time, and a 165Hz refresh rate. Fantastic for gaming on a budget.

AOC U28G2XU2/BK | 28-inch | 4K | 144Hz | IPS | £629.99 £512.86 at Amazon (save £117.13)

AOC U28G2XU2/BK | 28-inch | 4K | 144Hz | IPS | £629.99 £512.86 at Amazon (save £117.13)
This is a proper 4K gaming monitor, from a trusted brand for a really good price. Most 4K panels you'll find at this price will be 60Hz models, while this one stretches to a full 144Hz. You might be a bit nervous about the 28-inch scale suggesting a TN panel of old, but this is a genuine IPS panel with all the colour and viewing angle that will deliver.

ASRock Phantom Gaming PG34WQ15R2B | 34-inch | 165Hz | 3440 x 1440 | VA | £418.99 £349.98 at Scan (save £69)

ASRock Phantom Gaming PG34WQ15R2B | 34-inch | 165Hz | 3440 x 1440 | VA | £418.99 £349.98 at Scan (save £69)
You can't beat a high-refresh 34-inch ultrawide gaming panel in terms of bang for buck and ASRock gives you that particular bang for less buck than ever. As we found in our review, this 1ms 165Hz VA panel has no major weaknesses and makes for a really nice overall package for the money.

Crucial P3 Plus | 1TB | NVMe | PCIe 4.0 | 5,000MB/s read | 4,200MB/s write | £52.99 at Amazon
The Crucial P3 Plus is a proper PCIe 4.0 SSD, with speeds well in advance of what any PCIe 3.0 drive can offer. And at this price, it's giving you a whole lot of fast SSD storage for not a lot of pennies.

Seagate FireCuda 530 | 1TB | NVMe | 7,300MB/s read | 6,000MB/s write | £83.99 at Scan

Seagate FireCuda 530 | 1TB | NVMe | 7,300MB/s read | 6,000MB/s write | £83.99 at Scan
There are cheaper 1TB drives out there, but the Seagate FireCuda 530 counters this by being one of the fastest you can get. You'll need a CPU and motherboard that both support PCIe 4.0 to reach its full potential, though.

Lexar NM790 | 2TB | PCIe 4.0 | 7,400MB/s read | 6,500MB/s write |£123.99 £109.99 at Amazon (save £14)

Lexar NM790 | 2TB | PCIe 4.0 | 7,400MB/s read | 6,500MB/s write | £123.99 £109.99 at Amazon (save £14)

Lexar NM790 | 4TB | NVMe | PCIE 4.0 | 7,400MB/s read | 6,500MB/s write | £202.32 £196.99 at Scan (save £12.34)

It's a lot of money to spend on a storage drive but it's actually great value for money. Trying to find a high quality 4TB SSD under £200 in the UK  is a serious challenge but this Lexar squeezes under that limit. There are cheaper SSDs with the same capacity but they won't have anywhere near the same performance.

Samsung's external drives have a better recent history than its internal SSDs, so we've no hesitation in recommending the T7 for any professional looking for a large amount of storage that can be safely taken from place to place. They're designed to be rugged and fast, a potent combo. Oh, and they are available in three colors.

Crucial is a big name in SSDs, and the Micron-owned brand is offering a 37% saving on this 2TB external model. The drive comes in anodized aluminium shell with a rubberized base, and is just 65 x 50 mm big. There's an integrated lanyard hole too, if you want to wear it, which hides a drive activity light.

The HyperX Cloud Alpha is one of our all-time favourite gaming headsets for many reasons, but there's a big headline feature to talk about here: 300 hour battery life. No, we didn't make a typo. 300 hours of gaming goodness on a single charge, excellent DTS:X Spatial Audio and premium comfort features make this headset an absolute stunner of a buy at this price. In fact, when we reviewed it the only major negative we could find was a slightly uninspiring microphone. Absolutely worth a serious look this one, at any level of discount.
