To commemorate the pirate theme of Season 3, too, a special event will let players deploy from a spiffy pirate-themed dropship rather than selecting a spawn region, and they'll each choose their loadout before they're aboard. Once deployed, you can glide to your favoured destination, and you'll be jumping with your choice of gun. It even has a funky skull and crossbones on the top! Take a look:
That's not all you'll see pictured above. Reportedly sighted around Europa Bay and teased by the trailer, Ring of Elysium is about to get a visit from a pirate ship, which will be the subject of a special new mode in the game. The nautical theme runs deep.
New guns are also coming to the game, like the ferocious sniper rifle, the M82A1, perfect for anyone who's skilled at picking off enemies from a distance. It'll take out enemies from up to 100 metres away. Look out for the FAL G-Series to enter your arsenal, too, as the game's weaponry continues to evolve.
In terms of twists to the game's systems, too, the helicopter in the closing circle will hover lower every now and then, adding more unpredictability to the climax of any given match.
