PUBG gamers & streamers go to battle for glory live on Twitch

Beginning life as a user-created mod for DayZ inspired by the dystopian film Battle Royale and then developed into a full-blown standalone game, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) has lit the world of online competitive gaming ablaze since its inception. Every month, millions of players around the world engage in its epic 100-player battle royale-style combat online.

Now there’s a new way to immerse yourself in PUBG’s gripping competitive action with the launch of VERSUS GeForce GTX—a brand new six-week long competitive PUBG series broadcast live on Twitch. Every week, two popular streamers face off in “best of three” PUBG matches with the remaining 98-players filled by PUBG fans. The victorious streamer between the pair wins a new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti to give away to their community of fans. Plus, top community winners will also receive prizes.

VERSUS GeForce GTX is hosted by commentator EE, who’s known in the competitive gaming circuit specializing in Super Smash Bros. tournaments, and is casted by veteran CS:GO casters Blu and Launders. The team breaks down all the action when VERSUS GeForce GTX kicks off every Tuesday at 1:00 PM (PT)/4:00 PM (ET)/9:00 PM (GMT). And the matches thus far have certainly not disappointed.

In the inaugural VERSUS GeForce GTX event, TSM_Viss took on fellow streamer JoshOG in a blisteringly intense back-and-forth affair. TSM_Viss claimed victory early in game one, only to have JoshOG tie up the series in game two. But it was TSM_Viss who won the third and final game to claim the “best of three” series. A number of feats pulled off by VERSUS GeForce GTX’s community of players have been equally as spectacular including an unbelievable grenade toss up a staircase obliterating another player upstairs.

Check out the best highlights from the VERSUS GeForce GTX events below, and catch up on past episodes by subscribing to the GeForce YouTube channel.

Not only is VERSUS GeForce GTX an entertaining way to enjoy PUBG, it’s also a great opportunity to sharpen your skills on the battlefield by taking on the game’s most passionate players. You can also share your favorite in-game clips with ShadowPlay Highlights, which is NVIDIA’s tech built into GeForce GTX GPUs that automatically captures footage of your best PUBG moments. Submit your clips with ShadowPlay Highlights on Twitter or YouTube using the hashtags #GeForceVS and #PUBATTLEGROUNDS.

Playing PUBG on hardware armed with a GeForce GTX 10-series GPU will enable you to enjoy the game with the highest level of graphical polish. A GeForce GTX 1080 Ti will allow you to crank up its visuals for stunning 3840x2160 gaming on “High” settings while the GeForce GTX 1060 will still get you 1920x1080 gaming on “High” settings at over 60 frames-per-second (FPS). Check out the full system specs here.

If you’ve yet to check out VERSUS GeForce GTX, there’s still plenty of action to come with lolRenaynay facing xChocoBars on February 20th, Ms_Vixen going up against AndyPyro on February 27th, culminating in the final event on March 6th where GoldGlove will battle Anthony_Kongphan.
