The Genshin Impact Paper Theater is this year's puzzle-based Lantern Rite mini-game. Last year we were moving shadowy objects to try and work out what they were, but this time around we're putting on paper plays. Each scene is a little platforming puzzle where an actor walks across a stage, and we have to get him to the objective by removing obstacles—pretty simple, right?
The way you do this is by swapping sections of the stage, helping the actor avoid traps that would cause the performance to fail. It's fairly simple on the whole, but as is usual for these Genshin puzzle mini-games, it'll likely get more complex as the event goes on and new mechanics are thrown into the mix.
If you're just stepping into Genshin Impact 3.4, you might find yourself in need of the lovely-sounding Sand Grease Pupa to ascend the new character Alhaitham, or maybe you're curious about the new City of the Deceased domain in the Desert of Hadramaveth. Either way, here are all of the solutions to the Genshin Impact Paper Theater event so far.
Genshin Impact Paper Theater: Homecoming
In order to unlock the mini-game, you'll have to complete the first section of "The Exquisite Night Chimes'' quest and then visit Yinggong at the harbor. The first three scenes are pretty easy to solve, but here's how to complete them step by step:
Scene one
- Before the actor leaves the left section, swap it with the middle section so he can the reach the door on the right-hand side.
Scene two
- Before the actor leaves the left section, swap it with the middle section.
- He'll hit the vase in the right section and turn around.
- When he leaves the right section, swap it with the left section so he can reach the door.
Scene three
- Before the actor leaves the left section, swap the right section with the middle.
- He'll hit the vase and turn around.
- Before he leaves the middle section, swap it with the right section so he can reach the young girl.
Genshin Impact Paper Theater: Across Mountains
This set of scenes introduces another layer of platforms and holes the actor can fall through.
Scene one
- Swap the bottom left section with the top left
- Swap the bottom left section with the top right so the actor can reach the chest
Scene two
- Swap the top left section with the top right
- Wait for the actor to hit the rock in the top middle and turn around
- Swap the top left section with the top right again
- When the actor is about to fall down the hole, swap the top right section with the top left so he can reach the chest
Scene three
- Swap the bottom left section with the top right
- Wait until the character is about to fall down the hole on the top left, then swap it with the top right
- Once he falls down the hole, quickly swap the top left section with the bottom middle
Genshin Impact Paper Theater: Over Peaks
This set of scenes introduces Adeptal winds that can raise the actor up and switches to open holes.
Scene one
- Swap the bottom left section with the bottom right
- Swap the top left section with the bottom middle
- When the actor steps into the adeptal winds in the bottom middle, swap it with the bottom right so he can pass through the hole and get the chest
Scene two
- Swap the bottom middle section with the top right
- Wait until the actor steps on the switch in the bottom middle section, then quickly swap it with the top right
- Before the actor falls down the hole onto the trap, swap the bottom right section with the bottom left
- Wait for the actor to step into the Adeptal winds in the bottom middle section, then swap it with the bottom left so he can reach the chest
Scene three
- Swap the bottom right section with the bottom middle when the actor is on it
- Once the actor rises through the hole, swap the bottom middle section with the bottom right
- Once the actor falls and activates the switch, swap the bottom left section with the bottom middle
- When the actor enters the bottom left section, swap the top left with the bottom middle
- Once the actor turns around, swap the bottom left section with the bottom middle so he can get the chest
