Fortnite item shop: Black Panther, Captain Marvel, and Taskmaster drop in the Marvel: Royalty and Warriors Pack
How to get the new Marvel Fortnite skins.
We're well into Fortnite season 5, and I thought we left all those Marvel characters behind. What a fool I was. Epic has officially dropped the Marvel: Royalty and Warriors Pack, which features Wakanda's very own Black Panther, the always wonderful Captain Marvel, and upcoming Black Widow movie villain Taskmaster.
Epic released a brief trailer to celebrate the occasion, showing some obvious respect to the late actor Chadwick Boseman, who died in August due to complications related to colon cancer. It's likely that Epic was originally going to release the Black Panther skin during the Marvel-themed season 4, but postponed the release out of respect.
Here's a better look at Captain Marvel and Taskmaster. Good ol' Carol Danvers looks pretty familiar, much like actress Brie Larson in the 2019 movie, while Taskmaster looks pretty close to his comic counterpart, gray undies and all.
Marvel: Royalty and Warriors Pack items
The Royalty and Warriors Pack contains a bunch of items related to our Marvel cast, including multiple gliders, pickaxes, and back bling. Check the gallery below for a look at what's on offer.
How to get the Marvel: Royalty and Warriors pack
The Marvel: Royalty and Warriors Pack is available in the Fortnite item shop for $24.99. This is one of the rare instances where Epic is selling a skin bundle for actual money rather than in-game V-bucks. That means that currently there's no way to individually purchase the Black Panther skin, Captain Marvel, or Taskmaster, or any of their associated cosmetics.
That doesn't mean they'll never go on sale individually, but you can bet it'll be a little while before they do. Epic is likely to let this sale continue on throughout the holiday season since parents and kids alike will be interested in snapping up two of the most popular Marvel heroes of our time.
Don't forget to check out our other Fortnite guides and news for all the latest on season 5. Epic has recently added a new limited-time mode that's totally an Among Us riff. You can also grab Master Chief or the upcoming Walking Dead skins, too. Speaking of Black Panther, you can nab the Wakanda Forever emote by completing certain challenges in-game, too.
