The stars have aligned, and it’s PC building time. Intel’s Raptor Lake and AMD’s Ryzen 7000 series processors have both recently launched, and NVIDIA’s RTX™ 40-Series and AMD’s RX 7000-Series are on deck. With such a confluence of new parts, it’s a great time to plan out a new build from the bottom up. With so many parts to choose from, GIGABYTE is making sure it’s got gamers covered with stylish options that don’t shirk on speed or cooling, and it’s even ensuring assembly is extra convenient.

Style

When you’re starting on a fresh PC build, you get to rethink the aesthetics of the system from the ground up. GIGABYTE has what you need for either a dark or a light build. Its GIGABYTE Z790 AERO G and B650 AERO G deliver a bright and clean, white and silver color scheme that’ll match well with the same colors on the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX™ 4080 16GB AERO OC. Alternatively, you can turn to the dark side with the AORUS models. These parts are designed to look as rugged as they are, with dark colors and a solid, metallic design.

Naturally, lighting is covered as well. GIGABYTE has included RGB lighting with the return of the RGB Halo triple ring lights on all of its AORUS RTX™ 40-series graphics cards and on GIGABYTE Gaming OC models. With GIGABYTE’s RGB Fusion, it's simple to get all of the supported lighting in your system shining in sync.

Speed

A gaming PC shouldn’t just be flashy. You want it to be fast, too. GIGABYTE has built its hardware to make that achievable. Its motherboards are built with high-quality parts and robust VRMs to make sure the CPU gets all the power it could need to run at max speeds. This includes a digital VRM, up to 105-amp Smart Power Stage, and tantalum polymer capacitors, all of which help keep the motherboard operating effectively even while the system is taxing it at high temps.

GIGABYTE also used 2oz copper for the power and ground layers in its six to twelve-layer PCBs and shielded the inner layers for memory routing. This allows its motherboards to support DDR5 memory speeds well beyond the JEDEC specification. Intel 700 series motherboards can reach memory clock speeds up to 8000 MT/s and AMD 600 series models can go as high as 6666MT/s with Intel XMP and AMD EXPO.

As a board partner to NVIDIA, GIGABYTE also has its own RTX™ 40-series cards for you to enjoy a huge leap in graphic horsepower. The RTX™ 40-series’ Ada Lovelace architecture runs on the same power envelope as the previous generation’s Ampere architecture, but delivers substantially more performance and even more overclockability. Big upgrades in ray-tracing and AI are also on deck, with the 3rd generation RT Cores able to increase performance by up to 2.8X and DLSS 3 providing an AI-powered frame generation that can dramatically increase frame rates.

Cooling

There’s no denying it: The kind of power you want going into your gaming system is going to generate heat. But there are ways to fight it, and GIGABYTE has built those ways into its hardware.

GIGABYTE’s Fins-Array III covers select motherboards in large, extended irregular fins that add up to more than double the surface area of two full ATX motherboard PCBs, ensuring critical components can stay cool under load and run efficiently.

Modern PCIe NVMe SSDs run incredibly fast, but they can also run hot. To make sure you can get optimal speeds from your storage drives, GIGABYTE has built the M.2 Thermal Guard III. This heat shield can protect the fast PCIe 5.0 M.2 SSDs from the heat of other components so they can run fast and avoid throttling. The new heatsink grooves also better align with system airflow to promote cooling.

Perhaps no component needs cooling quite as much as the graphics card. With its own PCB, VRMs, memory, and processor, a graphic card is capable of pulling a lot of power and generating a lot of heat. GIGABYTE has what it takes to tame the beast, though, with its WINDFORCE cooling system on its RTX™ 40 series air-cooled graphics cards.

The WINDFORCE system starts its cooling with a large vapor chamber attached directly to the GPU and composite heat pipes to pull heat away from the GPU and VRAM. That heat is transferred to a large fin array that extends past the graphics card’s PCB to boot ventilation and cooling in GIGABYTE’s Screen Cooling design. GIGABYTE’s 3D Active Fans provide semi-passive cooling, only kicking in when the GPU is under a higher load. When the fans do run, the set of three spins in alternating directions to increase air pressure and minimize turbulence. Even the fan blades are enhanced with Bionic shark fan tech on AORUS MASTER models, a design that textures each fan blade like a shark’s skin for improved fluid dynamics that let the trio of 110mm fans increase status pressure by up to 30% while reducing noise by up to 3dB while running at the same RPM as regular fans.

Convenience

There are enough tricky parts about PC building. Getting your components slotted in doesn’t have to be one of them. GIGABYTE is using an EZ-Latch technique for its PCIe and M.2 slots. There are no screws to mess with. You just slot your card or SSD in and press it down for the latch to engage. Need to take them back out? The latch makes for a quick release, too.

GIGABYTE has some neat tricks for graphics cards, too. With some massive graphics cards, sag can be a worry. GIGABYTE has you covered there with a new anti-sag bracket that’s tailored for each RTX 40™ air-cooled graphics card. The design works to prevent the card from bending in its port while also maintaining the system’s aesthetics. For AORUS’ MASTER models, it has also included an LCD monitor on the graphics card to show real-time metrics like temperature and clock speed as well as custom visuals from text and picture to even short GIF animations.

On GIGABYTE Z790 AERO G and B650 AERO G motherboards, you’ll also find the VisionLINK port. This handy connection lets you transfer data, transmit video, and even deliver 60W of charging power over a single USB-C cable, allowing you to get an extra tidy desk setup.

With GIGABYTE at your back, you’ll be ready to build an exceptional PC that both looks and performs like a dream.
