How to respec in Cyberpunk 2077
In the 2.0 update, respecing your character in Cyberpunk 2077 is now easier.
There's a good chance you'll want to respec your character in Cyberpunk 2077. You have a variety of Cyberpunk 2077 builds you can potentially play with and the first one you pick may not suit your playstyle.
Veteran Solos returning to Night City will find that Cyberpunk 2077's 2.0 patch overhauls nearly everything, with deeper hacking and cyberware mechanics, more tactile melee combat, and a rebalance that might have you reconsidering V's career path.
Whatever the reason, there's a good chance that at some point during your playthrough, you'll think about respeccing. The good news is that respeccing is less expensive and more extensive than it used to be. Here's how to respec your character as of Cyberpunk 2077's 2.0 update.
Can you respec Cyberpunk 2077 attributes?
As of the 2.0 update, you can respec your attributes in Cyberpunk 2077, but there's an important stipulation. If you're intent on skipping CD Projekt RED's advice to start your solo career over fresh, an existing V gets one free Attribute respec. The same goes for a fresh start: a new game V also gets one free Attribute respec to use at some point in your playthrough.
Since you only get one, you'll want to use it wisely: CDPR released a build planner that previews the overhauled perks and the attribute points required to invest to get them. It's worth giving it a once-over if you have a particular build in mind, but Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 is still pretty generous with the attribute points handed out at every level.
As far as we know, there's no other way to respec attributes beyond the free one handed to you up front when starting a new game or loading up an old save. We'll update this guide in the event something else comes up, but you might be holding out for a compatible save editor.
How to respec perk points in Cyberpunk 2077
You absolutely can respec your perk points and redistribute them as you see fit and the good news is that it's way easier than it was before. Even if your attribute points lock V into an archetype (hacker, fighter, etc.), being able to swap perk trees around still leaves plenty of room for experimentation.

Navigate to the "character" portion of your menu and you'll see an option to reset your perk points, either in total or individually. The only hiccup we've experienced so far is that if a perk is granting you an increased cyberware cap, you may need to unequip some of that cyberware before you can refund the perk.
In prior Cyberpunk 2077 updates, you had to purchase the Tabula E-Rasa item from a Ripperdock for the hefty price of 100,000 Eurodollars. After that, perk changes were moved to the menu but you still had to save up your Cyberpunk 2077 money to pay for them. Now respeccing your perks is totally free to do on the fly as you please.
